Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love any day in which I get to vote. On my way to work this morning, there were people rallying for Obama. It brought tears to my eyes. I love the election process, but even more, I love to see people actively engaged in the political process. I even helped a Republican find her caucus site. This is the first time I've ever participated in the caucus process (I'm not sure why I never did before). It was amazingly busy. We were there at 7:15PM and they were already out of ballots. Now, it's all about watching the results come in.
This email just came in: ericka -- Results will be coming in until late tonight, but we did just learn one piece of great news. Thanks to you, we're projected to win Minnesota. I'll be in touch again later tonight when we have results from more states. Barack

Damn. We Pennsylvanians have to wait until April 22nd for our primaries. Everything could be all wrapped up by then.
You also helped a very lost Democrat!
It was exciting, but I felt a little unimportant getting a scrap of paper to cast my vote. Didn't seem official. How could MN underestimate the turn out by SO much? Voting wasn't over until 8 and we were there 45 minutes after voting started. Maybe it's just the junk mailer in me screaming for the killing of more trees...
Cap'n: I think it is safe to say that this will not be decided before April, so your vote will still matter.
T- maybe you should move to Minnesota so you can participate in Super Tuesday. There are also a number of other good reasons to move, but this one stands out the most.
